This time in debate club we had a debate where the people got to prepare their notes and prepare what their arguments are instead of the way we did it previously where you had to make up arguments on the spot without notes. The topic of the dabate was Animal rights. In my opinion both teams had quite good arguments but I think the team that was for Animal rights had better arguments than the against team. Besides from having the debate in the lesson we also carried on talking about communication. We discused things like: the Basic Structure of communication which involved the sender, message and reseiver. We also looked at different pictures to try and figure out if there was potential for communication in those pictures and if there wasnt. Then we also discused semiotics and semantics where semiotics was the study of signs and semantics was the study of one type of sign.
